Dev-log (9/4/2021)


Overhauled Player Character 

  • Added full 3D model to the player to massively increase visual appeal. 
  • Includes new animations for all actions including: 
    • Moving for both sprinting and not sprinting. 
    • Jumping and falling. 
    • Crouching 
    •  Leaning 
    • Sliding 
    • Wall climbing 
    • Sliding down walls 
    • Wall jumping 
    • Wall running 

Bug Fixes and Tweaks 

  • Clamped camera movement while sliding so player can’t turn around mid-slide. 
  • If they cancel slide, they regain full control. 
  • Clamped camera movement when entering wall climb so the player can’t look around too much. 
  • Adjusted climbing logic slightly. 
  • Adjusted wall climbing portion of the tutorial level so it’s easier. 
  • Added minimum wall run time required before wall jumping so they can be chained as easily. 

Known Issues 

  • Enemy AI is still very buggy and has weird pathing. Considering removing enemies altogether.  
  • ‘Busted’ screen does not always unlock cursor and the restart button need to be pressed twice for the menu to go away. 
  • Respawning seems to not work half the time so I'll have to change how that works.
